They are always very nice and helpful. To me it is worth the personal service to pay a bit higher prices. It also keeps the little guys in business if we support them.

I had two broken watch straps that were still half attached to my old watches (the watches themselves still functioned perfectly). I called the store and explained my situation. The man on the phone said “bring them on down and we will take a look”. So I took them here to have the old straps removed. The man helping me removed the old straps immediately and after having realized there probably wasn’t anything in stock that would function as a replacement (Not due to a lack of selection or stock mins you, but rather simply because of the fact my items were just regular old sport watches as opposed to the high quality accessories actually sold there), he went on to give me detailed advice on where I could probably find a good replacement locally (A woman in back even chimes in to recommend a few other locations / options). He also carefully explained how to replace the metal bars that would secure a new strap in place (which he has to remove in order to take my old Brocken straps off). When I asked how much the service would cost he said “don’t worry about it”. The man was extremely polite, respectful, and knowledgeable. I really appreciated how well he treated me despite me coming in with a pair of old sports watches (which were only 20$ each to begin with), knowing full well that I was not actually a legitimate customer of the high quality jewelry and accessories actually carried there. D.M. Ried Jewellers embodies the friendly and genuine spirit the Valley and Kentville are known for. Although I have no understanding of what equates to good Jewelry / accessories (Being a simple man) and thus can not comment on the quality of products there, I can whole heartedly confirm the service provided to clientele and knowledge base of the staff who helped me was beyond reproach. It was a wonderful experience!
