Cake by the Maples

So so worth the 1.5 hour drive from Halifax. The strawberry cheesecake crunch cup was so good! And the skor bars!? TO DIE FOR!!

After a stressful few days (week...month) I decided to take a drive after work and I ended up in New Germany where this delightful roadside dessert stand is. Who doesn't love dessert?!?! I grabbed a coffee crisp brownie and a cookie butter cake. I will be back...a lot...especially when I see them post that they have caramel apple spice cake...

If you're passing through New Germany I recommend a stop to Cake By The Maples...because, cake.

***UPDATE*** I've been back...a lot. Today I grabbed lemon cake and strawberry lemon cake because you can't go wrong with lemon!

Came across this little gem and stopped for a treat. We enjoyed a Kit Kat brownie and lemon cheesecake shot, and grabbed some marshmallow squares for the road. Delicious! (You’ll need correct change, or else leave a little extra as a tip. 😊) Thank you from the Days, from Surrey, BC.

Cant begin to rave more about this little shop. Freshly baked goods by a passionate and creative local lady! The cake shop will never leave you disappointed. 100% recommend the cheesecake parfait, and buckeye cookies!! Thankful for this shop and will be back many more times to come!!
