“After a stressful few days (week...month) I decided to take a drive after work and I ended up in New Germany where this delightful roadside dessert stand is. Who doesn't love dessert?!?! I grabbed a coffee crisp brownie and a cookie butter cake. I will be back...a lot...especially when I see them post that they have caramel apple spice cake... If you're passing through New Germany I recommend a stop to Cake By The Maples...because, cake. ***UPDATE*** I've been back...a lot. Today I grabbed lemon cake and strawberry lemon cake because you can't go wrong with lemon!”

“Little Tree Farm was a wonderful find for us. We wanted nut tree nuts. Mick and Ally sold us 2 types of hazelnuts and heartnuts. They are easy to reach and treated us very well. We highly recommend Little Tree Farm and look forward to their coming spring catalog. A great find.”

“I just loved the outdoor seating! The tables were comfortable to sit at, plenty of shade under the umbrella even at midday. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food and coffees were great! We are planning our next lunch over there already. They were also very dog friendly for my 10 week old puppy, they made sure he had plenty of water to enjoy.”

“Delicious freshly prepared treats! The chicken curry empanadas were still warm, nicely spiced and the pastry very flaky. We bought a few more things to try later. Very friendly and helpful staff. “A small pizzeria 🍕 in the tourist center of Lunenburg. They take orders quickly, try to take care of personal preferences. A wide assortment, many options for the size of pizza (12', 14', 16', 18'). Good prices, everyone will find an affordable option for themselves. The interior is small, but charismatic. There are not many places to sit, so plan your trip here in advance. The dishes are disposable, this is not a restaurant, so don't expect to meet your dream date. This is the place to enjoy pizza and get your face painted. Very tasty, very atmospheric and interesting. “Nice restaurant right on the water (same building as fishing museum). Kitchen very slow but our server (Jacob I think?) was attentive. Kids menu mediocre. We really enjoyed the seafood dip and lobster roll. Pulled pork sandwich a bit too sweet but still pretty good. Fish tacos were ok, seasoning weren't quite our taste. Sat on the patio to enjoy the view.”

“An absolutely fabulous place. Coffee shop open from 8-5. Excellent coffee and has amazing cold brew too. Smoothies. We also came in the evening to the brewery which has a great selection of beers and ciders. What is amazing is the setting. It’s on the water with a beautiful view of Lunenburg without the insane tourist crowd. Easy walk from the center of town.”

“Asked a lady on the street where to buy scallops. She replied, "from me". Turned out she was the President of the company. She opened the store for even though it was closed and was so very helpful. The scallops were phenomenal as we followed her directions for cooking. Couldn't be more pleased with that "lady in the back"!!”

This food truck has limited hours and limited menu, typically with one fish, one veggie and one steak or chicken option. It’s absolutely worth planning your day around a visit.
