Perfect location. Amazing staff. Delicious food. Many things to do with kids at the resort. Perfect for families.
Breakfast was wonderful. Service was fantastic.
A perfect summer day driving into the resort. Immediately one felt a presence of warmth and calm. Check in was professional, informative and friendly. The dining room was open and beautiful views. Dinner began with a biscuit and molasses butter. Was unsure on the molasses butter, a treat indeed. Ordered the fish and was absolutely delicious. Loved my room with my own quaint little deck. Walking the grounds, right on the beach, was calming and relaxing. The staff were always ensuring the safety of guests, masks at all times(they weren’t mandatory at this point) and always made their guests comfortable. They have quaint local crafts and art, for sale In their lobby. Breakfast was delicious. Absolutely a perfect vacation spot for families, couples or that solo road trip where one just needs that time to refresh ones batteries. This is a get away that offers everything you may need, especially that rest we all desire. I’ll be back. Thank you to Wes and his great staff for creating a place of summer safety with fun, good food, great rest and a perfect summer get away.
If you are looking for an upscale restaurant with excellent food in pictou county, the pictou lodge is where to go. I have never had a disappointing experience dining at the lodge. A great location for weddings, anniversaries, birthday party’s or family photos. Their Sunday brunch buffet used to be amazing (I believe covid-19 put a stop to that) and I hope it comes back someday.
Meals come with warm biscuits which are very good.
Right now I definitely recommend the chicken tagliatelle for pasta lovers!
It was a good stay, (4 nights btw) nothing stuck out as over-the-top but it was definitely worth the trip in the long run. A bit expensive for the cottage, and there wasn't too many things going on that you could do on the resort, and besides the fact that the cabins are a tad dated, it was definitely sad to see the fire ban preventing us from spending much time outside in the evening, with the resort staff putting out more fire pits mid-week which was confusing since they didn't lift the ban (bit of a tease). Overall; worth a stay if you've never been, but probably not a place I'd make a return visit.
