Camped the 1st week of October, quiet and enjoyable. Washrooms are extremely spacious and exceptionally clean.
Beautiful park with kayak access right to the harbor and a rail trail for biking going right through. Downtown Shelburne is easy to bike to and explore. We had a tent site on the water but unfortunately had a noisy RV right next to use that was perhaps too big for that spot. The sites away from the water seem to be larger and more spread out. All reservations are online or over the phone. The office isn't manned and only maintenance people are on site. The people booking over the phone don't know the sites and we witnessed a couple who were put into sites they couldn't fit in and had to call back. The "campground hosts" were very nice but I wish they had meet and greet camp fires like some other parks I've been to. Overall had a great time and would definitely return.
Absolutely beautiful campground.
I cannot think of one thing that could make it better.
The washroom/shower are the nicest I have ever seen anywhere, including alot of hotels.
Overlooking historic Shelburne.
A relatively small campground with many sites right on the water.
The campsites are varied with many tucked into little nooks and crannies in the small hills that make up the campground.
Kids on their bikes will love it.
Ok, that's it for now, don't tell anyone. I want there to be a spot next week!
What a beautiful park. I parked by the gate an walked through the camping side (closed for the season) then on to the picnic side. I balanced rocks peacefully at the point. There are so many lovely spots to sit and take in the view, if you find one occupied, just move on to the next. Lovely day park.
I have been coming here since I was a small child, always been one of the best places to go camping. This past weekend I went and noticed they have redone the main bathrooms, to which they are way nicer than when I remember, and each bathroom is individual with own shower. The water is always nice to swim in, although rather cold. Staff are always so friendly. Recently stayed in site 31 with tent.
