“Saw the cute sign with a cheeky name out front when I was street parking, and I had some time to kill before my meeting so I decided to stop in to grab something to bring. The moment you walk in you its this warm cozy environment vibe and the smell of fresh pies being made kind of makes you feel at home. Pam was incredibly nice, and it was refreshing to hear talk about with enthusiasm how she makes these incredible pies. I left with cinnamon buns for the meeting, and a small pie to bring home with me. The sugarcane based takeout containers are great, and I loved the self serve payment system. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of their seasonal treats!”

“Great little bakery and store not too far from Woodstock! I didn't know this place existed until they advertised with Jakeman's Maple Products. They suggested adding Jakeman's maple syrup to Kristi's apple fritters! We stopped by, got a box of fritters, added Jakeman's maple syrup to them at home, and boy oh boy were they amazing!! The store is clean and fresh with lots of different, local items and produce. The staff were very friendly. The place smelled amazing as they were making apple fritters when we got there! There are three tables and a coffee stand if you'd like to eat your goodies there. We will definitely visit again!”

“Nice bakery, came from Brantford, well worth the trip. Jamaican patties were really tasty, both regular and spicy. Sweet goods were wonderful, no disappointment here. Only fault I found in the sweet stuff were the "lumpy" chocolate macaroons. Not cheap, for sure, but this is a bakery to which you will return.”

“We grew up in the Netherlands and Van Straten manages to bake a superb quality Fruit Bread with Almond Filling just like we had at home. Traditionally we treat ourselves to this delicacy at Christmas and Easter and we always enjoy it so much I felt like writing this review to let the Van Straten Bakers know they do a fantastic job. The whole family loves a slice with butter and the Fruit Bread is gone before we know it. My thanks also go out to the Dutch grocery store in Ottawa who make sure they have the fruit bread in stock in time for the festive days. “I like to use value stores like No Frills. Although they don't have the hot bars and fancy foods like some chains they have all the basics I need with the best prices I have seen. When I need something fancy I will go to one of those grocery stores but I do most of my shopping here. Oh a bonus about this location, the store is immaculately clean like no other No Frills I have visited. Great job to the friendly staff here.”
