We stayed 2 nights at this absolutely gorgeous B&B on Miller Lake. Our hosts, Laura and Bill, were extremely sweet, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the different activities, hiking trails, and wildlife in the area. End of the Lake is a short drive to Tobermory, where we got the early boat to Flowerpot Island. There are kayaks and canoes for rent a very short drive down the road, as well as a beach. The lake is home to a lot of wildlife - ideal for wildlife photography. The B&B is in the ideal spot on the lake to see the sunrise, and it can be seen right from the bed if you leave the blinds open. The house was immaculate, as was the large, private and secure room. Good sized fridge, large TV, many cozy places to sit, and full of local information. The house features many cozy places - including the front porch, a screened-in patio, large couch, and seating on the lawn. Even Habby the cat was super sweet and respectful. He didn't bother us unless we initiated it (which we certainly did and loved!), and Laura and Bill offered to keep him away for those who aren't cat people. He is a super purrer though! Breakfast was excellent. I can't stop saying nice things about this B&B! Despite originally planning a trip to Manitoulin Island to propose to my [now] fiancee, we both whole heartedly agree that having End of the Lake as part of it made it that much more special. We will certainly be returning!
This was our first Bed and Breakfast experience. Bill and Laura are very friendly and great hosts. The house is beautiful and extremely clean. The meals were delicious and the view is amazing. They provided lots of information for activities and attractions in the area. We would definitely recommend visiting their slice of paradise.
We highly recommend this lovely B&B! We recently spent 2 nights. Bill and Laura are fabulous hosts, they think of absolutely everything to make you comfortable. They're very knowledgeable about the area and its numerous amenities and sights. So peaceful, hearing the loons call while enjoying the gorgeous sunrise over Miller Lake! We will be back for sure!
