We went to The Kitchen at Sauble last evening for their pizza & wings special. The staff, service, atmosphere, cleanliness and everything were great. The food was perfect temperature, portion, priced well, plated nicely and delicious. The soft drink glasses were a big size so we didn't require refills. We asked the server about winter hours and he informed us of them and that they will have entertainment on Saturday evenings. Would definitely recommend this eatery.
Overall, a somewhat disappointing experience at The Kitchen in Sauble Beach. We went for dinner during a weeknight and did not have reservations. We were seated at the pub style tables in the bar area, not the main dining room. No problem with that. Positives - the bartender was super friendly and upbeat and she made good drinks! Our waitress was friendly and took our order within a short time. Let me say all the food we ate was cooked properly, had great flavour and was delicious - the issue was that the main dishes came with either no sides or limited sides included and the dishes were quite expensive for what was offered. For example, Ron ordered the steak and all it came with were fries - no vegetables - for $30+ there should be more than just the fries. Even a pat of garlic butter on top of the steak would have been a nice touch. My penne pasta dish had no garlic bread or other addition. Appetizers ordered were the rice balls and crispy eggrolls. Excellent rice balls! But pricey; I think it was $18. In the end, for what is offered, we felt it was too pricey. It is great that the new owners have fixed up this space and are trying to make a go of this location; since they have restaurant experience it would be nice to see it succeed, but I think a few things need to be changed with menu offerings and prices.
I came up to Sauble Beach to spend the weekend there and stopped in at the new restaurant called the kitchen at Sauble Beach. I was very impressed! I was immediately welcomed by their friendly staff and sat down at a nice clean table. The menu offered some lovely dishes I decided to have a pizza and a Caesar salad. the pizza was incredible ! They use homemade / handmade pizza dough made with true Italian flour…double zero standard . I was so impressed with the food and the atmosphere that I decided to work for the restaurant. Although I do not live in Sauble Beach, I gladly drive down every Friday night to work in this incredible establishment until Sunday, When I leave back to Oakville, my hometown. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting or living in Sauble Beach. We have an incredible wing night also which offers an amazing price on wings…. Under $14 for 13 wings which is unheard of…Wing madness on Wednesday!!!! Stop by and try some awesome food!!!
I came with my Italian girlfriend and mother and had the pleasure of meeting the chef and owner, Liana. We had a wonderful chat about food and life. A true Italian and the flavor of the dishes were delicious. We hope she has great success here. Come and support a true family run restaurant in a great Italian style
