Howell's Fish

Awesome fried fish and chips! A gem hidden a minute off the main road.

The Fish is fresh and the oil is clean. The smoked fish, and fresh Lake Trout are both amazing.

Friendly and cool staff. I will definitely be back.

Bought whitefish and trout, decent prices, amazing fresh fish. Thank God for this establishment, not too many places to find fresh fish in the sauble area.

Homemade Coleslaw and Tartar sauce was incredible.

Worth the price and our kids even enjoyed it.

Local smoke fish shop. Fish is being caught and brought in from Georgian Bay. During my visit, they only had pieces of smoked salmon...nothing else smoked... however, there were a few kinds of fresh fillets available such as rainbow trout and white fish. Purchased some smoked salmon pieces to give it a try, and it didn't disappoint. If I will ever come back to this area, I will make another visit. 👌

We've been buying fish from Howell's for over ten years on our way to and from our cottage near Tobermory. They usually have fresh whitefish, lake trout and salmon, and often rainbow trout and pickerel. Fish are perfectly filleted on site. They have some of the best smoked fish (salmon, lake trout, whitefish) we've ever had. Staff (owners) are knowledgeable and friendly.
Best to early for good selection.
We haven't tried the take out.
