IFT Foodtown

This is, to my knowledge, THE grocery store of Grand Valley. It's not large but has decent selection. Is right on the main street. Got a good steak, salted butter and sliced mushrooms there. Prices were acceptable. Staff were present and doing their jobs. No complaints. It's good to have it there.

There a family supermarket that you can go to and thay know your name.
they have come a long way from what you remember. As for the prices thay are about the same as most places, and if you want help they will be happy to do what they want they can. It is clean and safe.

This store has changed ownership once again. To the credit of the newest owners they are doing what needed to be done long ago. The whole place has been cleaned and painted, instillation of new bright lighting, and re-laying out the store so that it has a better flow to it and is more open and bright. The staff here has always been exceptional and is very helpful and knowledgeable. The pricing is somewhat higher than nearby Orangeville, but there they are larger chain stores so bear no resemblance in size to this store in a small town. The choices at times are a bit lacking to what one would expect, although there is already a remarkable increase that has started. The store runs specials every week and you can get most of the required staples here. They also have Chester Chicken ready to eat, which is very popular for a quick meal and on weekends for the local campers. If you want something in particular that is not on the shelf, if you talk to the owners they will try to get it for you as they are very accommodating.
I think with the improvements being made by the owners that we should give them a little time so that they can bring this store back to the past glory days, only time will tell but I for one am willing to give them a chance.
