Kingston Frontenac Public Library

I used to really enjoy my libraray experiences at the Rideau location. The staff was always very nice and helpful. Lately though anytime I go to this location there is the most stereotypical rude European librarian working. Honestly she could be straight out of a movie. She is rude, not helpful, and from what I've noticed not good at her job. Her reply to any questions about reservations is instantly that it hasn't arrived yet even if it is already at the Rideau location. Twice in the last 2 weeks I have had to go to the shelves myself to get the book and this is after the item being put on reserve either the day before or even days before. God forbid you ask her anything to do about video game reservations, she seems to see this as an afront to what she believes a library should be. The reason for still giving 4 stars is that I love the services the library provides, I just dont think this mean lady is the right person for trying to get children and adults to use these services.

Great staff, great atmosphere, great selection. Enjoyed by my whole family. :)

Street view needs to be updated. There is an entire community centre attached to the school now, complete with a gym, meeting rooms and a fantastic branch of the Library.
