The experience at Down Home rivals the top restaurants in the province. Hannah and Joel and their team have created a high end experience that is still intimate, approachable and honouring of the excellent local food scene. Every dish was superbly done, in taste and appearance. We opted to select a bottle from the menu instead of the wine pairings, so Hannah recommended an Ontario wine that we loved. The cherry on top was the atmosphere of dinner. We ate in the converted main floor of their home and got to interact with the whole Down Home team and the other diners throughout. We debated whether or not we should keep this place our secret, but food lovers need to know. It's worth a special trip out.
