“The experience at Down Home rivals the top restaurants in the province. Hannah and Joel and their team have created a high end experience that is still intimate, approachable and honouring of the excellent local food scene. Every dish was superbly done, in taste and appearance. We opted to select a bottle from the menu instead of the wine pairings, so Hannah recommended an Ontario wine that we loved. The cherry on top was the atmosphere of dinner. We ate in the converted main floor of their home and got to interact with the whole Down Home team and the other diners throughout. We debated whether or not we should keep this place our secret, but food lovers need to know. It's worth a special trip out.”

“WOW is all I can say. I recently visited the store and was amazed at the Irwin's Garlic knowledge. Black Garlic a definite must try! I just added some dried garlic chips to some leftover soup and wow did it ever enhance the smells and flavors. I will be back to buy more. “We had a wonderful relaxing stay at “ Rocklyn Inn Bed & Breakfast” The accommodations were very nice but the best part of our visit was the breakfast in the morning. It was delicious ???? Lesley is a wonderful hostess because not only was our breakfast very tasty, but also the information she shared about the city and the surrounding area was extremely interesting. Also distances wise is ONLY 15 minutes to the Scandinavia Spa and Blue Mountain Ski Resort. We highly recommend this unique place for an overnight visit or an extended stay and we will definitely like to visit them again soon!”

Personal favourites were the ginger and the pear ciders. Can't get this stuff in the LCBO so be sure to support local and buy a couple”
