Great place for a good hike or just walking around. Nice trails and a boardwalk and even a lookout. Lots of cool water features and tons of wildlife. Worth going back to spring, summer, and fall as the vegetation and types of birds changes. Small picnic area. Easily spend half a day just taking in nature.
We had a really nice walk. Trail would not be accessible for my 2 year old grandson.
Great place for a hike or bird watching, there is a picnic area, just a short walk in from the parking lot as well if you'd like to enjoy a nice family outting and lunch.
It is most definitely a marsh. Be prepared to get muddy. A lovely boardwalk for a small portion but the rest of the trail may need hip waders. Also, depending on the time of year you may need to bring a couple pints of blood to replenish what the mosquitoes take.
I love the place. Colorful scenery during fall. Very serene and calm. A nice haven to relax and meditate. Good hiking trails.
