Woodview Mountain Top Skating

Great place to skate and see the sights! This skating trail is located at the top of Blue Mountain, near the Scenic Caves. I recommend going from dusk to night to experience the lights along the trail. Also pre-purchase a ticket on the Blue Mountain website to secure a spot for a two hour skating time. Best part is grabbing a Beavertail for the ride home!

The overall experience was great. We really enjoyed skating on the top of the mountain. The staff was super friendly and possitive. The skating trail was constantly cleaned from snow. There was a well ventilated tent with benches to change into skates. The only negative was that at some point it got very crowded and it was hard to maintain social distancing. Some people were not wearing masks although it was mandatory. I would recommend to bring an extra mask as they get very wet with condensation from doing a physical activity in the cold weather.

This was so much fun. I went with my adult kids in early 2020 and we had a complete blast skating for an hour or so. I highly recommend this.

Great loop trail with small rink for free skating. The trail is wide enough that even when loaded with a lot of visitors for a long weekend, there's no really worry of overcrowding. With that in mind, avoid going during any major events if you want to enjoy a more secluded experience and more manageable wait times for ticket purchase and skate rentals.
