“My sons and I (12 and 13) were recently certified to dive while on a trip in Mexico. We came home and wanted to go dive the Welland Scuba Park with a friend of ours that is a Master Diver. Bob's was the first place that I called and I am extremely happy with that decision. Robin was extremely patient and so pleasant to deal with. In addition, she was very reassuring about renting the equipment and took the time to explain everything. We had a great time at the park and dropping of the gear was extremely smooth too. Fantastic overall experience!”

“A gem of a store for hat making supplies but no sinamay. Better than ordering flowers and ribbon online because you can see if the colours are right. Friendly helpful staff.”

“I’m an avid thrift shopper both because paying retail is not worth it to me and because we produce so much new stuff when there’s so much already made we can use that it’s really environmentally harmful. I’ve been very frustrated by the huge rise in prices in thrift stores over the last number of years because of resellers. Sometimes the prices are near retail at chain thrift stores! All I want is to sustainably and frugally dress and entertain my family. I switched from Value Village to Missions for a long time and found that they were also falling into the same trap of charging a lot more for potentially resellable or trendy items. Which was sad for me because I loved supporting their cause while taking care of my family. I was so happy to walk in to The Giving Closet today. The vibe is amazing. Kids books for 50c! Quality stuff. It was clean. It wasn’t so busy that I felt overwhelmed but there were people who were obviously regulars there talking about their love for the place. I can see why. It’ll be my go-to thrift store (and place to donate) from now on, for sure.”

“Nice selection of child's apparel. There is a 25% sale on everything in the store. The selection is okay as some items not on sale have been removed from the floor. The sales staff are fruendly and helpful. I enjoy shopping here as the prices are reasonable.”

“I love this store. The staff are always helpful (no pressure) and the store is always clean and neat. They have all my clothing requirements and a special "Phil" section I am very sure they made just for me at the back of the store! Love to go in and look around. I find it hard not to buy something when I am there. I can't say enough about this place. Truly I get 75 to 90 percent of all my clothing here.”

“Really great selection of items for adults but not a lot for kids. I was looking for choker necklaces for kids, they are so popular, but they only had adult styles. Great selection of well priced women's boots, including winter styles that actually appear to be warm.”

“Always a pleasant experience at this location. The staff are professional and friendly. They've got top quality merchandise with great deals. I buy all of my loungers from here, they are just waaay too comfy and true to size. They also have a great selection of underwear. Will definitely recommend, particularly for all your casual and sleep wear.”
