“So much to do, rain or shine really. We bring our canoe and go for a paddle after work. The beach is nice to sit with friends, catch some rays and then cool off in the lake. I camped there once with some girlfriend's and we really enjoyed ourselves. Everyone was respectful of privacy and noise. Great for families and friends alike. There are trails to explore the grounds, which includes a boardwalk and a bridge. Have to organize the family BBQ this year? This would be a good spot. There are an abundance of picnic tables scattered over the natural grounds and parking available. Valens is a great value!”

“The Apple Orchard Inc. Is a true gem! We went last year with two toddlers and had an excellent time. Came back this year with a preschooler and friend and had an even better time - even in the rain! Roasting hot dogs, tractor rides, sunflowers, fresh apples, corn pit - and all that topped off with a very fresh candy apple! Later in the season, I brought family from the states here and again we all had a wonderful time. They are still talking about it! This past weekend, I hosted a big birthday bash for my 4 year old here. It was low stress to plan, Lucas and his staff were communicative and flexible. All the children and parents came home from the party totally exhilarated and exhausted from having so much fun. Other families are already talking of having birthday parties here. It was very reasonably priced as well for a big party, and I will likely celebrate here again next year. I cannot say enough wonderful things about The Apple Orchard Inc. Lucas clearly loves what he does and it translates into every part of this magical place!”

Smokey Hollow Waterfall

Address: 80 Mill St S, Hamilton, ON L0R 2H0, Canada

Park

“Impressive during deep winter. The waterfall, the large icicles and the river running across snow covered stones are worth the visit. You can just stop and park your car for a quick vista of the falls, and that's worth your time. You must be prepared to slide and slip a lot should you wander into the forest, but you will be rewarded by the beauty of it all, the sound of the streaming water and the calm of virgin snow covered trees, hanging rocks and iced solid water stopped in time. Kids can run around and slide down the hill next to the waterfall. Fun for family and hard core trekkers. My 360 pictures should give you a good preview I hope.”
