They have a very good selection of lumber and building materials, the staff are friendly and the yard staff are always very helpful with loading etc.

I am a contractor and went in looking for roofing material as well as sheathing material. As I partly expected, they did not stock starter shingles nor had anyone there ever heard of treated building paper, which is all fine but I did not appreciate being treated as though I didn't know what I was talking about. I was inquiring after legitimate products that are really used by real builders. If the staff are ignorant then say so. Don't tell me there's no such thing.

Update: Okay Wilson Timber Mart I am giving you 5 stars now because I love the fact that you took the time to reply so graciously to my concerns. It speaks of a philosophy of customer service which to me will always be the most important aspect of a business - more important than inventory. Thank you again, you are in the top of my good books, I do appreciate your help with workaround solutions and I will see you next time I'm in town! The best building supply store in town. Friendly staff will help your get any material you need delivered or loaded in your vehicle.

We use timbermart regularly. They have most supplies available. Occasionally they provide incorrect items, ie pink insulation when we've ordered yellow. They readily correct the mistakes. But it's inconvenient if you don't notice until your on the job.
