We’ve been extremely pleased with the excellent service that’s been provided to us by Shane & his apprentices during the installation of our Generac generator this spring, as well as some small electrical fixture jobs they did for us on the same day. Our setup wasn’t a typical one with us having a solar micro-fit & battery back up system, yet they were able to make it all fit together seamlessly. Karen in the office did a first rate job of co-ordinating the work with Hydro One and Tyendinaga Propane that day, answering all of our questions, following up to ensure things went smoothly and guiding us along the process in a very professional & friendly manner. I hired Horwood Electrical Services to install a Generac emergency generator as well as convert my 200 amp service from fuses to circuit breakers. They called me a week before they were going to show up to do the work, which I appreciated as it gave me time to prepare. Horwood electrician Shane Clarke and his crew showed up exactly on time with everything required to complete the job. Horwood co-ordinated with Hydro One and the gas line installer and everything went as smooth as planned. They worked the entire day to complete the job before they left. When they were done I was very impressed with the quality of workmanship, the cleanup after the installation, and the fact that Shane had taken the time to explain a lot of things to me I didn't know. I will be hiring Horwood Electric for any of my future electrical needs and I would highly recommend them if you are considering having an emergency generator installed. Their knowledge, experience and work ethics are of the highest standard.
