Land'escapes

My partner and I spent a long weekend at Land'escapes this summer and it did not disappoint. We've done some great back country camping before and this weekend made the top of the list! The folks who welcomed us to the park were incredibly friendly and helpful and once we parked our car at the Jocko East lot, the trail to the lake was very well marked. We saw a whole range of animal prints on the way to the lake. Once we got to the canoe cache and got a view of the lake, any stress we brought with us from home dissipated. Our site was stunning (we love campsite 181!); it was our own little oasis. We had so much privacy. We spent the weekend swimming, fishing, playing cards and soaking in the beauty of the park. The access to canoes, the pre tied bear hangs, and having the option to rent gear that we no longer had made it such a stress free experience. The customer service (both at the park and on the phone) were exceptional. I couldn't recommend Land'escapes enough.

Had an amazing time soaking in nature. Only a short hike to what felt like our own private lake. We chose the Dixon Lake hike-in. We enjoyed lots of wildlife; beavers, heron, loon calls while we rested and even saw a deer on our walk out! The canoe cash was a short walk from our site and there was lots to explore on our morning paddle. Would recommend to anyone looking for a backcountry experience.

Great experience, beautiful place! We booked the week before a long weekend and had an entire lake to ourselves!
