The Ashwood Inn

Very nice place to stay for a couple nights or even justa night. The bar and bistro has very good staff and extremely good food

The INN has a nicely renovated interior. Floors are cool on the feet as there is no carpet. Recommend bringing slippers to wear. Interior and exterior door only have handle locking mechanism. These doors need a secondary latch or deadbolt. There is no phone in room which didnt bother us as we have our cell phones but be aware. No phone. Interior door doesn't have a sweep or seal around it so hallway traffic is extremely noisy in the room and very bothersome. Bed is comfy and pillows are comfy. Didnt try the restaurant as we were out and about when they were open (only Friday and saturday 4 to 8). Had an incident with noisy guests next to us. Owner was very respectful and dealt with the issue. Pool area looks nice and I notice a sauna. Did not use them though. Access to beach at Deer Park Lodge is a short walk away, maybe 5 minutes. Beach was nice and sunsets in west are beautiful. Over all, when you pay 160 for a night in a hotel. You expect a 160$ quality hotel. This was not it. With some improvements it could be. We would return if they addressed the issues with the doors.

It was adequate! Was hoping there would be a restaurant with food and a bar. A bit rundown for the cost per night. Nice pillows!!

Great service and very nice looking rooms for how it looks on the outside. Room #1 bathroom door wouldn't lock, WiFi only good on one side of the room and sound wouldn't come through the HDMI input. Otherwise, great place if you don't mind the motel-style exterior.

We were married on the beach at Deer Park Lodge and our reception was in the woods behind the Ashwood..The venue was perfect for housing a large chunk of our guest list (200 ppl) and the staff went above & beyond to make our stay and our wedding day run smoothly..there was concerns about the wet weather hampering the vendors that needed to get to the tent on the dirt trail but again the staff made sure everyone made it in and out without any issues.. There have also been rave reviews from many of our guests and some are already planning their return. Thank you to Kirsten, Rebecca and the Ashwood/Deer Park team for helping to make our wedding weekend perfect!!Cheers, Jamie & Cara
