A dense wild forest rather than a well maintained provincial park. Access at the end of Indian Point Road, about 15 min drive off Highway 35. Not sure if that was the main entrance or even the only entrance, there was no map or any signboard for navigation there. It doesn't help either that Google Maps doesn't show anything other than a patch of green.
Also beware of ticks.
We went there thinking a park with beach however we could only see a forest with trees on both sides of the road & private properties. If you are going to ride a bicycle then I am sure that will be an amazing experience but if you are in a car then it's just a beautiful road sight with a small beach at the end. But honestly I loved the colorful trees on both sides of the road & then we went balsam lake and that was a happy ending.
The trail wasn't very clear from where we entered. The lake front didn't have a lot of places where we could sit. But beautiful colors in the fall.
My daughter and I loved riding our tandem bike through Indian Point Provincial Park. It doesn't have amenities, just a few simple paths through 950 hectares of forest, meadows, and wetlands. It has a few very small cleared areas along the shore, but not beaches or campsites. Wear boots, there is a lot of poison ivy.
