“A dense wild forest rather than a well maintained provincial park. Access at the end of Indian Point Road, about 15 min drive off Highway 35. Not sure if that was the main entrance or even the only entrance, there was no map or any signboard for navigation there. It doesn't help either that Google Maps doesn't show anything other than a patch of green. Also beware of ticks.”

“This beach is a hidden gem. Clean and had washrooms close by. Perfect for families with kids as there was also a playground right by the beach. Lots of docks to fish from but water was shallow when we went. Perfect location in town and was a 12 minute walk to Kawartha Dairy for icecream.”

“Visited a friend’s trailer this summer, love how it’s near the waters. I know it’s under Covid-19 period, resort tried their best to amend their rules as they go. Some amenities were closed then re-open at late summer. We visited 3 times and stayed over one weekend. Lots to do, friendly people and neighbours. We needed 1 life jacket for a child. A neighbor lent it without hesitation. Kids can fish on the dock, catch frogs/turtles by the water. Would definitely visit again! Resort staff is friendly and helpful (shout out to Bob!)”

“Great place to spend the day. Per car entry price was just raised to $4. Pay at meter at entrance and leave ticket on your dash. Off leash dog park. A number of trails to explore. Keep on trails as there is poison ivy. Those with kids, all trails are easy to navigate. Small playground that is suitable for those 3 years +. Boardwalk over the marsh is beautiful. There also is a trail for those with bikes, ATVs and horses.”

“This is our fourth season at Alpine. We love it here. Our grandchildren love to come. They feel safe here. They can ride their bikes safely around the park. The facilities are spotless. The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. I would like to welcome Tim and Connie as the new caretakers. They are already doing an amazing job and working hard at getting ready for the upcoming season. They are a super nice couple. Ready to help and are so pleasant to talk to. “Recently stayed here on one of the transient sites for the weekend and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lisa was a pleasure to deal with, very accommodating and helpful. The site was nice, right on the Scugog River so the kids could fish for hours. The pool was nice and clean, the washrooms were spotless and the rec hall was great as well. It is obvious that they are making major improvements to the whole park and I think it will only get better in time. We will definitely go back!”
