(May 20, 2018, 7:42 pm)I was not aware that Grand Bend derived its name from a hairpin turn in the Ausable (Aux Sables) River a short distance inland from Lake Huron where sand dunes blocked the river's outlet to the lake. This parkette is certain to soothe the soul and supply you with interesting factoids. Look for the nicely manicured 'Grand Bend' greenery just to the West of this small park.
