Free apples and free tees. Might seem like a little thing but its the small things that make this course great
The new owners are trying but lots of work ahead. Nice layout, and the greens are good. The fairways are dry with a lot of bald spots, hard as rock with lots of cracks so you could bounce any where on a good fairway drive. The bunkers are not playable due to the weeds. Was not impressed with the proshop sandwich I had at the turn, I think it was made the day before. I'll give it some time before going back.
Not sure who the greens keeper is but they have transformed the greens into something great. I've played a bunch last year and they were no where near the condition they are now. I can only assume they have been watering the greens constantly. Tee blocks are not great but not horrible. The fairways are defiantly the next thing the new ownership should focus on. A lot of holes you can't tell which is the rough and which is the fairway. Lots of weeds throughout which make it hard to find a ball. In the end, this course has a lot of potential and it appears the new owners are committed to making it a more desirable place to golf. Can't wait to see how this course turns out in the next few years.
I had a great experiencing teeing off on hole #1 this past weekend. It's great to see the care that is being put into this golf course. The new owners have committed to the experience that every golfer has. Hearing the stories of the changes that have been made show that this golf course is only going to get better and better this summer. Pricing and memberships were affordable and the staff were very helpful. I recommend booking a tee time and getting out on the course.
A hidden gem and a place that is now destined to be a premiere attraction in South Western Ontario. Incredible things are coming and Kingswell Glen is just the beginning.
