“A great gem in the middle of the city. The garden is great for walking in the summer. Plenty of green area to walk, and a modest play structure for the kids. Bring the dogs!”

“One of the worst experiences. Took more then hour in finding a parking spot. And no room at the beach even for single towel, too crowded. But everyone has their own test.”

“Not sure who the greens keeper is but they have transformed the greens into something great. I've played a bunch last year and they were no where near the condition they are now. I can only assume they have been watering the greens constantly. Tee blocks are not great but not horrible. The fairways are defiantly the next thing the new ownership should focus on. A lot of holes you can't tell which is the rough and which is the fairway. Lots of weeds throughout which make it hard to find a ball. In the end, this course has a lot of potential and it appears the new owners are committed to making it a more desirable place to golf. Can't wait to see how this course turns out in the next few years.”

“This place is one of those great hidden treasure with fabulous wine an outdoor patio with a wood fired pizza oven and a great gift shop. I was one of those people that would say I don’t like ontario wine but now after tasting and buying a few bottles of their wine I’m hooked. The place has a wonderful laidback atmosphere and Anne is fabulous to chat with.....knows her stuff!! Looking forward to taking friends there. ????????”

“This is a neat area to hike and check out. Trail needs to be marked better though. Could not find the loop in the trail. The orange markers went south into a trailer park and no markers right or left, so I went back the same way. Other than that, it was cool hiking in what seemed like a ravine, and along the ridge further down the trail.”

“Great campground! Our family rented 2 of the cabins last week and had a wonderful time. Nice amenities like washrooms & laundry, several playgrounds, the pools are warm & there are weekend activities for kids. We biked around & the overnight lots are a good size & in a treed area with lots of shade. We plan to return with our trailer some day. The cabins are cozy with A/C if needed & full bathrooms. The only thing I would improve is to add way more hooks & shelves in the cabins & maybe a dresser as our stuff had nowhere to go but the floor. Also, cabin #2 has a futon with a mattress so thin it hurts to sit on (you feel the bars on your tailbone clearly), I can't imagine sleeping on that. Also they need a wall of cedars blocking the dumpsters from the cabins to help with visuals & rare breezes from there. But other than those minor suggestions, we had a great time. Played on the big sand dune, biked around the beautiful campground & even hunted fossils in the crushed stone around the cabins! Enjoyed the weekend kids' activities. Awesome place, it's on my "will come again" list!”

“Sandy, hilly trail is a cool, free way to spend an hour or two. The best part is the remarkable man-made water channel. Lack of use means sections of the trail can become qickly overgrown. Neat spot for birds.”

“Have stayed at this camp many times and about to head it for our all sections camp here. The facilities at this camp are the best and our group always has a great time here.”

“I was not aware that Grand Bend derived its name from a hairpin turn in the Ausable (Aux Sables) River a short distance inland from Lake Huron where sand dunes blocked the river's outlet to the lake. This parkette is certain to soothe the soul and supply you with interesting factoids. Look for the nicely manicured 'Grand Bend' greenery just to the West of this small park.”

“Get over the tiny beach and you are in doggy heaven. Nice shallow wading area so both you and your dog can cool off. Popular with old, young and largest family groups. Confined beach, so if your dog isn't social with other dogs, kids or peeps in general, avoid like the plague.”

“This place is fantastic! There are 2 Great dog beaches! Super clean. Beach #1 is surprisingly narrow so not a whole lot of place to set up on the beach itself ( it's more of a dune) but the overall experience makes up for it. Crystal clear water is shallow for at least 50 to 70 ft, making it a great place to play in the water with pets or children. If your pup is a swimmer no problem just walk out a little further and enjoy the waves. The people are friendly and even the toilets were clean. Can't wait to visit again!”
