Awesome place to visit and camp. Lots of camping ground and also has some fire pits if you want to barbecue, however you need to have your own charcoal. The scenery is amazingly beautiful with nice terrains and breathtakingly beautiful lake.
As most of Ontarios provincial parks it is just a nice place to be and relax. First time I tried a yurt. Happened to work out great as it was raining the whole weekend. Bbq worked well and there was a little patio covering us. All we had to do was add a tarp to have somewhere to sit while it was raining.
Just went there for a walk and in weekday. It was pretty quiet, even though the weather was not the best as well. Really looking forward to go back and enjoy the nice environment. I wish there were a little bit more information in the trails. Did the Shoreline centennial and missed one of the lookouts. Also, no interpretive signs spotted despite being indicated in the park map. Overall nice views and wild environment. Can't say much about the camping sites though.
Nice park with cute little beaches and beautiful hikes of varying difficulty. Campsites for tenting, RV, or yurt rental available, with reasonably sized sites. Canoe rentals are available. The ammentities are clean for campsite standards, and showers are available. The environment and the lake view are beautiful.
We had such a great time on the lake! The staff was polite, kind and a lot of fun! We enjoyed the programs in the park. And, it wasn't too far to go into Kingston. We did the 1000 islands Dinner Cruise. We rarely go back to the same place, but we will be going back to Charleston Lake!!!!!
