Enjoyed the afternoon sitting by the locks watching the luxurious boats go by.
Nice little town along the Rideau river..
It was unexpected but very pleasant visit to this very interesting 19th-century British designed blockhouse.Young volunteers were very knowledgeable and helpful, they told us a lot about the family who lived there. The Museum have loaned artifacts brought by Descendants of settlers including trunks, old machinery, books, portraits, clothes, china and original letters. Very interesting, worth to visit! the Museum is located just near Lock.
Fantastic small museum with great staff to guide you through the exhibits. wonderful interpretation of the local history of the river and Merrickville
A step back in time. A bit like a mini BC Museum with kitchen, bedroom, furniture, clothing, uniforms and weapons from the 18th century. Beautiful green park area and scenic town for shopping. Friendly information staff.
