“This place is a hidden gem. Beautiful hills. Old forest. There is NO cell signal here for the most part. ATVs are not allowed (unless they are doing maintenance on the trail) and hunting is prohibited, so it is lovely walking. There are several marked trails that go off the main access/trail ATV track. Beware of bears and other critters as the apple trees and raspberries tend to attract them. People you meet around are friendly and will chat you up, usually from an ATV. There is a little fishing lake near the bottom of the hill of one of the entrances.”

“This park is great for the family to come spend a couple hours at to burn off energy or even a birthday party for the kids! There are seating areas as well as lots of grass to bring a blanket and lay in the sun or relax under a tree and read a book. It's far enough from the river, it isn't a safety concern and yet there is still a nice view. The park tends to get busy on nice days but it also never seems too crowed. We go usually once a week, it you're not close, it is a great spot to come at least a couple times in the summer.”

“A beautiful, peaceful but not quiet public park that you can spend time alone, surrounded by other like minded people. There is a natural waterfall topped by a small dam and a calm river directly downstream. There is an architecturally beautifully constructed, active railway bridge overhead. The waterfall is a small cascade during dry periods and a roaring turbulence that sounds like a small Niagara during flood times. A treat of a retreat any time of the year.”

“This is now called Ashton Park Estates, and the new name is fitting - the lot sizes are estate-like compared to the other 3 parks where we have had mobile homes. The "estates" are a peaceful, friendly place to spend your vacation, or your whole summer. Nicely treed, and beautifully manicured, it seems that everyone is proud of their site - no messy spots like we have seen in the other parks. The park committee is active, organizing events throughout the summer, and everyone we have met to date is very friendly. I haven't seen a better park in all of Ontario.”

“Nice access to Hay Bay for boating. Good sized lots for seasonals and overnight and weekly guests. Unfortunately the bathrooms were not cleaned properly or regularly during the week and mold was on shower curtains. Unsupervised swimming pool was well maintained.”
