My family and I call this place...
"THE POUND STORE"
Ive been going to this store for years now. Since I was a child going with my mother. Back when It was located at Wellington and Horton, in the rear of the other goodwill store. Eventually they had to expand and get their own building. So grateful for that because I absolutely am in love with this place! It is great for anyone on a budget. You literally pay by the pound. When checking out you throw all your stuff in a bag and they weigh it. I'm not exactly sure of the cost per pound but I do know that it gets cheaper the more you buy. The store consists of rows and rows of huge tables/ bins on wheels. Each one is filled with different types of items. While browsing, the staff swaps out/ rolls out new tables of items every five to ten minutes. I can always end up staying here shopping longer than intended due to the constant change of items. You have to "dig" through these bins which takes time but you're always bound to find a few diamonds. From rare collectibles to name brand clothing sometime with tags still on them. There is a furniture area. There are always tons of tools, linens, shoes, and electronics. Basically anything you would need at home. Oh, They also have a sitting area and outlets occupying one full wall. Great for children to wait while you shop. Or just to sit and take a break. They also have free Wi-Fi 😃
Love this place, some days it's a hit and others it's a miss. You can always find something useful or unique for fair prices. The more you go the more fun it is, I've gotten to recognize and interact with customers and staff to the point I feel like Norm at Cheers 🤣
Thank you to all
This place is only bearable because of the super friendly staff. It needs updating badly with new rolling bins that lock for safety. The outside update of a new concrete area is lovely. The patrons spoil it for many of us. They throw objects and I have been hit more than once. Many also steal by slipping things in their pockets and purses. Really, total disregard for all involved!
