Shelby's Shawarma - West 5

My husband and I just stopped in to Shelby’s at West Five in London and had the most amazing food. We ordered the traditional bites box and the shawarma Halloumi quesadilla box. Both were so amazing. The garlic dipping sauce -to die for - and the fries were super crispy and flavourful. Staff was very helpful and gave great service. We will definitely itely be back…..thanks Shelby’s at West Five!!!

I usually get take out. But Amazing take out it is! Swarma Poutine or Swarma bowls.

I got the Chicken shawarma bites box, traditional style. One of the many go-to’s I have from Shelby’s. I loved the chicken shawarma bites, pickles and fries very much but the coleslaw had a strange fishy flavour this time. That isn’t the case in the Masonville location. Who knows! Haven’t ordered Shelby’s in a while so it could possibly be a change in recipe?

Regardless, shawarma is delicious for a quicky! Good garlic sauce and the pickles were fresh. I like the flavourings they put on top of the fries too. Wish they drizzled more pomegranate molasses on the top of my shawarma, but no worries! I got a bottle at home that did the job.

I have to say, the Ayran (Yoghurt drink) is an absolute must have! Definitely try it if you haven’t.

I like Shelby’s! The best quick shawarma joint around. Note that I say “quick”…it’s not meant to be gourmet.
