One of the Best International Airport !!
I travel a lot for work and have been mostly happy with the services, including the border clearance with US Customs !!
This morning was one the busiest I've seen here, which I've barely made it my flight. Hope everyone else that was on the line behind me had made as well, as I was sent inside Customs for validation and was quite busy, over 1:15 hr wait time. ????????????????☺
This is certainly no Heathrow. It is a superbly run place where I was able to very quickly check in. Staff were brilliant - polite, helpful and knowledgeable. Nothing was too much to ask. Other airports could learn from this place. Well done to all the staff who made my travels a real pleasure.
PS. The restaurants around the airport were particularly good.
Terminal one is bright, open and spacious. Lots of shops and restaurants inside of terminal one. Starbucks, Tim Hortons, David’s Tea as well as cafes.
Plenty of seating throughout the terminal. It appears that terminal one is fairly sparse for comfortable lounge like seating. Also not too many public areas that are available for plugging in or charging once past security.
On the way out of the terminal on my way to the taxi stand I saw more couches with plug ins.
Security ran smoothly
I feel like there are always renovations happening here which has its pros and cons. There are lots of wonderful areas of the airport but we always seem to end up at the part under renovation.
The staff at the Airport are friendly and helpful. Security is usually a breeze to get through as they give people traveling with children a priority line. They even offered to call a cart to drive us to our gate because it was a bit of a walk with a small child.
