Delawana Resort

Nothing beats the amazing location of The Delawana! We stayed at the Honey Suckle and like this cottage because of the separate bedroom for the children.
All of the staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. Macy checked us in, Jordan and Liz assisted us with various tasks and requests, guest service staff were helpful with our kids and in answering questions, the grounds crew completed their landscaping tasks without much intrusion to our relaxation, housekeeping staff left the cottage immaculate for us, and the quiet young lady in charge of the flowers has done a wonderful job because we were quite impressed with the flowers at our cottage.
The swimming pool was super clean and I commented on that to management. The beach at the lake was also enjoyed by the family and the kids had fun on the floating raft. The kids also had fun riding around on the provided bikes, as well as playing tennis. And when my kid took a racket to the face, staff were quick to respond and were helpful in caring for him. In fact, in the days to follow, many staff went out of their way to ask how he was doing. Fishing on the dock was fun - we caught a catfish - and the dock is big enough to spread out if you want some quiet time alone while fishing.
We are considering a seasonal rental for next year, because we would have loved to spend much more time at The Delawana. It's the next best thing to owning a cottage!

It was as clean as possible for its age and decor. (Ashes rooms)
Night by night prices are expensive for its type of quality decor. Weekly rates are great value though!
Aviva and Jolessa were two we mostly interacted with. They were excellent in every way. Everyone else we briefly encountered were great too!
We seen grounds crews constantly working at every part of the resort during our stay but never were intrusive and always had a friendly greeting for you.
All amenities (excluding motor boats) were included in price of stay which is unheard of. And we took advantage of all we could!

The on-site Flynn’s restaurant is a must visit!

We come here every year since the resort was reopened. Every time we feel at home here. It is very clean and the service is very responsible. We're really resting, and I'm relaxing here. I recommend with all my heart.

We had an amazing few days with the family. We booked last minute, so there wasn't too much left available but we were able to get a few days in and it was an amazing place to visit! We will definitely be making this our annual family vacation destination! Next time I'll be sure to get one of their newly renovated suites with a kitchen! Great place and very friendly staff!

The waitstaff was extremely attentive and, according to my wife, very easy on the eyes. A very positive experience. Flynn's is very customer-service oriented.
