A beautiful and quiet park in late September. The leaves we're just changing colour and the weather was a bit cooler at night. The facilities were the cleanest I've seen at any provincial park I've been to. Only downside was that if you stayed on any of the sites near the water you'd be kept up by the sound of the highway at night. Might not be as much of an issue in a trailer, but it was quite loud in a tent.
Beautiful park. Quiet. Spot 83 was gorgeous with a little path to the water. Dogs loved it. The site is further down a little driveway so you get excellent privacy. The transition trail was beautiful though watch out for all the roots.
Visited in August of 2021. Such a beautiful park with multiple lake access from the river. Wardens and park personnel left you alone but kept the park in top shape. Beaches were clean and quiet. Showers and washrooms were clean. Nice walking trail along with a bike trail close together within the park. There were 5 different boat launches throughout the park for quick and easy river access. This park has moved to one of my favourite parks I have visited and cannot wait to go back!
Nice Park. The historical logging equipment and camp was pretty cool. Clean washrooms and showers. Firewood was so wet all it could do was boil itself, best to buy it from the general store just north of the entrance to the park. Site 65
Gate staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We stayed one night at site 41 and it was absolutely gorgeous, we had to drive in to get to it. Only downside was the lake, it had a nice beach but there are private cottages everywhere. It's nice for a family or people looking for a basic camping experience; look elsewhere if you want something offering a more untouched perspective.
