Norfolk Roots Midwives

I had the privilege of being Norfolk Roots' first client, and my daughter, was the first babe born with the help of this practice, before the clinic was officially open!

What I love most about the stance Norfolk Roots Midwives takes is the full belief in INFORMED CHOICE. So often, women assume that "doctor knows best," and this takes so much away from our innate inner knowing. My experience with Norfolk Roots Midwives was truly one filled with guidance in coming to trust whatever unique process my body and baby were going through. Never once was I guilted or pressured into making a decision, there was only ever patient and steady support and reminders that everyone is different, and so my process was my own.

If you want to experience the capacity you have to learn, grow, and walk through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum on your own terms, I highly recommend this practice. You will be educated and supported with a combination of evidence-based practice (read: science) AND ancient women's knowing ways. The best of both worlds. No question or concern is too small or too silly, these women do everything in their power to create a space and experience for you where you are heard and seen.

A group of amazing woman who are caring, compassionate, super knowledgeable and professional. After having an OB for my previous two pregnancies I can say that midwifery care made me feel much more comfortable and knowledgeable about my own experience. I felt heard and respected in all my decisions! I was able to have a beautiful homebirth surrounded by people that love and support me. I would recommend Nofolk Roots Midwives to anyone that is expecting.

From the moment we first walked in to the office until our little man was born, I can not say enough about their ability to really listen, advice, guidance, and the amazing overall care from start to finish. Where do we start? And where is the 6 star option? All the midwives and staff at Norfolk aregenuine, kind, and helpful, and calm. Which is really helpful when you’re about to be a parent for the first time!
We welcomed our son Phinn into the world with the loving and professional guidance of Kimberley. She was so helpful and knowledgeable about everything leading up to the birth and was absolutely amazing during our home birth. Calm, supportive, understanding, steady, kind - everything my wife needed during this time. She hugged me after our son was born before she left because we had all just been on this intense journey together. I will never forget that.
If we are blessed with another little bundle we will be back to the amazing midwives at Norfolk Roots!

My family and I were extremely glad to work with these midwives! All staff here are the perfect balance of professional, welcoming, compassionate, and knowledgeable. We birthed at the hospital and ended up having an OB involved but we wouldn't have changed a thing about having a midwife. The personalized care is amazing. We appreciated the postpartum care provided, they made everything easier! Thank you so much! If we have another, we'll be back :)
