“Took my awesome girlfriend there, and it was a great experience. Great service, huge menu selection. All of the food was excellent. We had Thai stir fry, salad, soup, and poutine all of which were perfectly done. Highly recommended. 5 star all the way!”

“If you want a great atmosphere while enjoying a delicious meal then this is the place to go. I go for brunch here and the food is amazing. I always get the California Benedict which is poached eggs on tomato, avocado and goat cheese with a benny sauce. Oh my goodness is it good. Portion sizes are great. We ordered an extra order of home fries and the portion was huge. Probably three times the size you get with your meal. So darn good. If you are out and about you should give it a try on weekends or holidays from open to 3pm”

“With the entrance tucked into a corner and the signage on the street not too bright, it is easy to miss this restaurant. But when you get there the bright colored frontage captures your attention. Supposed to have started in 1988, this place still has an old world charm on the inside. With a rustic interior time seems to stand still here. But the ambience and service were great. For a Sunday lunch we did not expect much, but there were quite a few tables occupied. Speaks volumes of the popularity of the place. My wife had the glazed maple and pecan salmon which, she said, was an absolute treat. If I rated this place 4 stars it was only becuase my dish fell short. I ordered the Asiago Chicken. This penne pasta was supposed to have creamy Asiago sauce. But what I got was a very watery Asiago sauce that had way too many sundried tomatoes. The only bad spot in, an otherwise, good restaurant experience. I am sure this must have been an aberration. So next time we visit Cobourg, we have to visit this place again to rectify my rating.”

“Friendly service, the lady who took my order was very hospitable. Went there around 3pm on a Thursday, there was no dine in, only take out. Got chicken souvlaki. Chicken was great, salad was fresh and tasty. I found the rice a little hard to chew. Reasonably priced.”

“This is a family-friendly restaurant, serving a wide variety of good food. They have a short but good selection of beer and wine. And the dessert menu is awesome. The service is friendly and attentive. The prices are reasonable. The premises are clean and airy and wheel-chair accessible.”

“Overall good service, friendly staff and central location downtown. Definitely receives a lot more hype than it deserves due to the overwhelming amount of college students who go there during holidays. One concern I did notice ( which may have changed since the last time I was there) was that the men's bathroom had only one sink, and it was in the stall with the toilet. Luckily I was the only one in the bathroom, but this doesn't give a lot of incentive for people to wash their hands if multiple people are in the bathroom.”

“After a long day of medical appointments last week, we decided to drop into Arthur's for lunch. One person in our party, who is a senior, did not have her QR code. Brad, the manager/owner (not sure) found out and help us secure her QR code. He was so helpful. We were exhausted and this act of kindness was so welcome. We do visit Arthur's a few times a year and are always impressed by the food and service. I wish I could give Arthur's more than five stars.”
