“This is a very charming coffee shop with tables or to go. Lots of retro album covers and posters for sale. Good coffee and very reasonably priced lattes. It’s located beside the Captains Table. The signage is a little hard to see when you’re driving by. Friendly service. Ask to see the basket of treats from a local baker, Grandma‘s Recipe Box. Delicious banana bread, brownies.”

“I stopped off on my way through Hastings a couple weeks ago. I enjoyed the flight I ordered. Their menu had a variety of styles and I wish I had alloted time to sample more. A nice outdoor seating/patio area on the property. I would visit again. If a beer fan, I recommend making a stop off and give it a try!”

“the food was awesome i haven’t seen anyone do the dough balls for pizza in years so i love that they do that; some people might not care for it but it’s something i’ve always enjoyed as a kid. i love love love that they use shredded cheese instead of curd & their fries are crispy and yummy— the poutine was more on the salty side but other than that i enjoyed my experience and will be returning.”

“To whom this may concern I just wanted to say thank you to your Hastings location for going above and beyond what was necessary today to make sure I was happy with my online order. I had ordered two pizzas with different toppings for a landscape crew who were working on my property. The staff were very friendly and advised me when I arrived that they pizzas were made different than I had ordered. They were made individually instead of split half and half. Definitely not a big deal. The staff had decided that they would make an additional cheese pizza on their own initiative, just to say sorry for the mix up at no cost. Definitely was not necessary and I had not complained. Actually, I had told them that it was not necessary, but the extra pizza was already in the oven. Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for what I consider to be amazing customer service. You seldom see this anymore and it was very much appreciated. As much the effort as the pizza. Nice to know that some businesses will still take extra steps to ensure their customers are happy. And by the way the pizza was awesome. “5 stars for this small town Chinese restaurant. Sometimes Chinese restaurants in small towns can be questionable, but this place was on point. I had the Szechuan beef, and the BBQ pork with vegetables. Great taste and lots of flavour. Fresh ingredients. Big portions. Great value. The owner lady was very friendly as well. If you like a little heat, go for the Szechuan. Great Chinese food even in a small town. Gotta love it!”

The place has a in door and an exit, it's small, but what's big is the selection of flavours and the portions. Thankfully we only went for a single 'scoop'.
