Icelynd Skating Trails

Loved loved our evening here! My kids are begging to go back! The place is magical, we went around 4:30 so we can get both daylight and the lovely fairy lights.. the staff are very nice, I had an issue with my ticket and the guy at the front was super kind and said I trust you and let me in. There is a bonfire which adds warmth and lovely atmosphere. Everyone was happy and having fun! They have a confession stand, their hot chocolate was delicious.. we honestly had an awesome time and can’t wait to come back!

We went for our first visit on 2/8 at 5:00. We were met by an employee as we were walking from our car to the entrance who greeted us, scanned our tickets, told us about the facility, told us to enjoy our skate and then introduced us to Chris Neil. Chris told us about the trails, the rink, the work that went into it. You could see the pride in his face as he spoke to us. We got laced up and headed out. The trails had a bit of snow on them as we hit a squall just before we pulled into the parking lot. Trails were well lit, well maintained and few if any ruts anywhere. The skating was easy, a beautiful skate through the trees, a nice big bonfire at the halfway point.
Other skaters were polite, everyone moved over to allow the faster ones by. Hot chocolate after the skate was great. We'll be back and I highly recommend everyone take a trip out and enjoy a skate.

Beautiful network of skating pathways. I went at night and while I'm not much of a skater, I enjoyed doing a social, winter activity and the light were beautiful. The rink was very well-maintained and easy for the amateur skater to get around on :) in addition to the lights, they also have campfires and hot chocolate chalets to take a break and warm up at.

I truly had a wonderful time. It was so well organized right from people guiding the the parking through to welcoming at the ticket booth. The 2km of lit trails were very beautiful. I went at 4pm and stayed until 6pm so I saw them both in daylight and in dark. Both were great. Nice fires all around to sit and enjoy as well. Saw some hockey teams taking advantage of the rinks. A really positive experience!

Such a fantastic experience. Headed out this past Saturday and even in -35 had a blast. So stoked that this gem now exists so close to home. Trails were in excellent condition and staff was very friendly and helpful. Mid-way bonfire was a WIN! Can’t wait to come back.
