I'm torn writing this review because I LOVE Chopped Leaf and I wish there were more in Ottawa. But it's been 2 times now that I've gone to this location and the employee closed the shop 10 to 15 mins earlier than the listed closing. One of the times I had driven all the way from Orleans simply to get a bowl from here. Disappointing. Food is great though. Love the Bangkok salad. Wish there more locations in Ottawa.
Somehow for a place that only serves soups, salads and sandwiches, they never have sandwiches? The salads are decent, but pretty small for the price and not as filling as the similarly priced sandwiches.
I really enjoy this place and find myself walking in whenever I'm in the area. The tuna melt on sourdough is a personal favourite, and I love the daily soup and naturally-flavoured water options. I do find the quality is occasionally a bit hit and miss...sometimes my food is cold, sometimes it's obviously and unevenly reheated, and sometimes things seem to have no salt added whatsoever. These are pretty minor complaints in my opinion though; for what is essentially a fast food restaurant, the options are generally quite healthy, fresh, and delicious. Always looking forward to the unique seasonal recipes too!
Located inside the Trainyards plaza, this restaurant is a nice place to go if you are looking for a healthy fast food alternative. It is on the pricier side, with the pegasus starter salad + tofu (pictured) costing over $11, and not filling the container. The tofu add-on itself is $3.60. We also had the chopped signature wrap with tofu, which was quite tasty and filling, and cost just over $11 as well.
