Great fabric quality and excellent customer service. I love going to the store to see all the different selection available. The staff has always been very kind and knowledgeable!
AMAZING! Best apparel fabric store in the city, hands down...actually probably my favourite ANYWHERE. Miriam is the absolute nicest and always so helpful, and she stocks the most incredible fabrics and notions. Beautiful euro fabrics, including some (Rebecca Reck) that you can't get anywhere else in North America. I feel like a living art gallery when I wear my makes made from fabrics from this store :)
By far my favourite fabric shop. Not just because they carry the best quality and designed European knits but because Miriam goes above and beyond for her customers and genuinely loves the products she carries. The community of makers she has created is so welcoming and supportive of each other. HIGHLY recommend placing an order!
I've been buying fabric for my own garment sewing for several years now. I can always count on top quality and on trend designs from Mimifabrics. Love the variety of substrates she offers: knits, wovens, brushed French Terry, soft sweat, softshell, waffle, challis, and so many others. She has the biggest selection of ribbing, elastic and trims by far. Always new things to try. Big fan!
Mimifabrics is the embodiment of accessible chic. Miriam (the owner) is extremely knowledgeable about fabric blends, sewing tools, thread, pdf and printed patterns (she carries Ottobre magazines too!!).
She helps anyone and everyone whether just learning to sew or honing an advanced skill. Her online community (Sew Let’s Talk - hosted by Mimifabrics on Facebook) is a wonderful corner of the internet, and full of thousands of helpful sewists of all affinities and skill levels!
Pictured is my most recent make, featuring her recently added line of stretch knit fabric called Pearl. Any fabric I’ve bought from Mimi’s - as it’s affectionately called - has been of the highest calibre, never pilling or stretching out over time. It also washes incredibly well, as I can attest since my three children have no extra respect for beautiful handmade clothes, and yet, the stains come right out!!
Invest in your garments and projects with Mimifabrics - you won’t regret a dime spent!!
