Fantastic music teacher! Matt is a rare blend of excellent skill and contagious enthusiasm, making my kids actually want to learn.
Matt has been my son's guitar teacher for the last five years and shaped him into a good musician. My daughter has only recently started piano lessons with Matt and we can already see her making quite some progress. Matt has an individual approach to each student. He quickly adapts to their needs and knows how to keep his lessons challenging and fun at the same time.
My kids like him very much and always look forward to their lessons. I truly cannot think of a better teacher.

Matt is one of the most enthusiastic and caring people I know! He routinely performs interesting and creative pieces on a wide assortment of instruments, and works well with all different group dynamics and sizes. As a teacher, he brings a broad knowledge of music theory, history, and experience to the table. He is an established musician in the Ottawa community and anyone - young or old, experienced or new - has a thing or two to learn from this man!

Matt is an incredibly talented teacher, performer and composer. He is technically proficient on a number of instruments and he is very knowledgeable in regards to music theory. He's also one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. I have and will continue to recommend him to anyone interested in developing their musical skills.

As an amateur musician who completed a minor in Music at Laurentian University (2010-2014), I had the privilege of performing with Matt on a number of occasions. His musicianship, technique, and style always blew me away. When I tried my hand at composing, Matt was a major help in sorting out my many mistakes. And more importantly, Matt has a gregarious and helpful personality, which I am sure translates to his teaching abilities.
