Zen After School Program

Our kids are learning more than just martial arts at Zen! The after school program focuses on building their confidence, self improvement, social interactions and encourages their school life. Kudos to Maria and thank you for the warmth and great work!

I switched our afterschool care for my girl to ZEN in January of 2021, and it has been amazing! The program is so much more than just little kid craziness that we have experienced at other places. In addition to their rigorous daily martial art lesson, the kids do fun activities on basic things like how to budget for groceries, how to stitch a button, how to put addresses on an envelope. They also do a craft every month that is fun or seasonal (canvas paintings, making Easter egg baskets, painting Halloween pumpkins, writing letters to santa, etc…). Zen provides healthy snacks (fruits and vegetables) which I love! When my wee boy is old enough, he will go there too! We will continue to be customers for many years to come 😊

My daughter has joined the Zen After School Program this Fall and it has been a tremendous experience so far! My daughter started taking Martial Arts Classes at Zen since she was five, the change that I have noticed in her personality in terms of confidence, leadership, creativity has tremendously increased since she started the after school program. My daughter loves the Zen after school program more than her school and she looks forward to going there every day. On a personal level, when I struggled with after school pick up to Zen, the amazing team and management solved my problem and started picking up my daughter and that was a great relief and support that I am forever thankful and grateful for! The Zen After School Program is a complete over all experience that helps the child to develop mentally, emotionally, physically and on the creative side. The program also supports the kids on their academic level and teaches them how to grow and be an active member of a loving community. I love the interactive learning, fun, excitement and leadership that the team thrives to build in the kids. I am very proud to see my daughter grow to be a leader in such loving, caring and supportive setting. I recommend Zen and the Zen after school program and I invite you to join the family!

ZEN is the perfect place for kids. The best decision we made was having our son part of the ZEN family. Our son is in karate and the after school program. Instead of traditional after school stays at the school, your child will be able to change settings, enjoy different activities (Maria always has something planned!) And you also get to do karate classes as an option! Why rush back home for a 6 pm karate class? Everything gets done before 5. By the time you finished work, your child did karate practice, help with his homework, and burned some energy! And guess what? Busy in the office? They pick them up from school so you don't even have to worry about that! I highly recommend it. Your child will grow up to his teen years with discipline and self confidence.

My 9y/o son LOVES coming to Zen. Originally, I was looking for an after school activity for him to stay active and to get less screen time. We got so much more! Zen has turned into a huge friend group for my son. In just the few months he's been here, I can see a big change in his confidence and his socializing skills. The whole thing is so organized and well equipped. Maria is the first person I met when we came for a visit, she treated us like family! They really focus on what my child needs and care for his education. Nothing but great things to say about this place, wish I would've found it sooner. Great staff, great program, worth every penny!
