(June 19, 2016, 9:06 pm)Ms. Zabel’s credentials as an incredibly gifted musician speak for themselves but in my experience she has been able to impart her musicality, knowledge and technique to my 10 year old son in the most effective and gentle way. She helped him achieve well beyond his musical potential and assisted him in receiving RCM exam marks in the top 2% nationwide.
I think the way she engages and challenges my son, patiently and extraordinarily detailed, is why he learned an incredible amount in the 4 years since we had the amazing fortune of finding such an outstanding piano teacher.
I would recommend her to anyone who seeks a true artist and educator. Ms. Zabel is fully invested in both her art and her students, teaching considerably more than “how to play piano“. She holds her students to high standard that does nothing short of setting them up for success.
Last but not least, as a parent, Ms. Zabel is a delight to work with and I try to learn and apply her pedagogical principles every day.
