PetSmart

Madison met my dog (Bobby) and me with a smile. Bobby was nervous, but she put him at ease right away. After the grooming, he looked very handsome, and his coat was very soft. I've already booked his next appointment with her.

It's a nice store with friendly staff that really like animals.

They have everything for most domesticated and/or exotic animals. Food, bedding, toys, restraints, clothes...

They have an adoption program with the Ottawa humane society and Gatineau SPCA. We got our cat there and she is fantastic.

They have puppy and dog obedience courses. We recently participated in the puppy class. Tanya is very efficient at demonstrating and communicating how and what to work with your dog.

The fish are pretty but we have not had lots of success with them or they died quickly.

The store is easily accessible to wheelchairs with sliding doors and wide aisles.

Animals are welcomed to come with their owners on leash or cage.

They have a grooming studio for dogs.

Note: It smells like a pet store that welcomes pets. A bit of pee...

Prices need to be monitored as you can get good deals of you wait.

In my opinion, this is the best PetSmart in Ottawa. the staff are always visible, available and actually wanting to help you find whatever you need. That's not always the case in other locations. It's also very clean and organized all the time. There's never a mess, again, unlike other locations which shall redeem nameless.
