“Great place to walk around and take pictures of birds and animals. During winter months there are maintained squirrel buster bird feeders so you can see black Capped chickadees, white and red Breasted nuthatches. Downy Hairy And pileated woodpeckers. As well as white tailed deer and squirrels including red and grey. During winter months trail is used for cross county skiing and scenery is just beautiful. Trail may be a bit long for very young kids. They have a plowed gravel parking area.”

“Hiked this along with the jack pine section further south for a total of 5km. The combo makes for a nice variety. There are some sections where the forest is close in, sections where it is wide and you can see through the forest for a faid distance, and then there are sections of boardwalk through swamp. The forest provides shade along most of the route. The route is mostly flat and made of grass and earth with some routes rocks and stone at odd intervals. The trail is very well marked, with every intersection having a letter and a map and arrows telling you whi h way to the next intersection. The greenspace is bordered on two sides by secondary highways. This gives a near constant sound along much of the route.”
