In November, 2019 my wife and I traveled to a resort near Playa del Carman, in Mexico to attend a wedding. On our second day I had severe chest pain along with supra-ventricular tachycardia and had to be hospitalized. Before the ambulance arrived at the resort, my wife called the emergency number to talk with a Penfield assistance representative. She was extremely helpful and advised us to go to a private hospital for improved coronary care. As a result, I received treatment as good if not better than I would have received in Canada. Penfield Care were also instrumental in helping my wife solve several misunderstandings with the hospital administration due to the language barrier. I had a 3 day hospital stay and everyday my wife was assisted by Penfield Care personnel who were very professional, compassionate, and supportive. They continued their follow up until we were safely back in Canada and paid all the expenses we incurred in full. We are so grateful for their guidance and care and have recommended them to many of our friends who are planning to travel outside of Canada. Thank you Penfield Care!
