Red Oak Retirement Homes

My family and I had to move my 92 yr old mother during the pandemic. I contacted dozens of retirement and assisted living homes. The difficulty of choosing the right place for a loved one is difficult enough but it is absolutely brutal during the pandemic. You can't visit the places to check them out to ensure your loved one will like the place or see if the staff are nice. Melissa Spidell from Red Oaks was amazing, she did a virtual tour of the entire place as well as take videos of the various suites they had available. Since getting a mover during the pandemic is very difficult Melissa arranged to furnish the suite until we could figure out how to move her things. I had so many questions and Melissa was always upbeat and reassuring. All the staff were great at helping us decide the best suite for my mother. Melissa was there to welcome my mother and help her settle as it was a frightening event for my mother to have to move from Mississauga to Kanata. Add in that my mother knew that she would be isolated for 2 weeks and that no loved ones could visit and my mother was extremely upset. The staff have been great with my mother and never complain when Charlie my mother's cat escapes and leads them on a merry chase down the hall. One of the most important things is knowing how your loved one is faring during her isolation. Melissa has been great at keeping me updates on how my mother is settling in. The staff have been great with my mother during this incredibly difficult time. I extremely happy with my choice of Red Oaks for my mother and know she is in good hands.

My husband and I have enjoyed the Red Oak as our home for the past 4 years. Management excels in all aspects. The superior amenities; such as,
salt water pool, pool room, gym, chapel and hair dressing makes our daily life enjoyable. After our family looked at many they chose Red Oak without hesitation, We would not consider any other facility!

The Red Oak is beyond good it is excellent. I have enjoyed 3.5 years as a resident and it meets all expectations. Management is quick to respond to any concerns with immediate action. The management team understands the community and its needs.

Mom and Dad recently moved into Red Oak after comparing all other facilities. By far Red Oak offered the best in care, amenities, recreation, dining, staff, and apartments. It is state of the art with the warmth of family. It is truly a home away from home.

Red Oak Retirement Residence is a wonderful place with a great welcoming atmosphere. It features many amenities including a salt water pool and a garden solarium. The food and service is amazing in the beautiful dining room. Most importantly the staff are so caring and will ensure you have the best experience and care at Red Oak.
