Wonderful service, amaaaaaazing choices for cheese, deli meats, jellies, and crackers. Honestly, a one-stop shop for all your party needs.

What a great little shop, especially here in Barrhaven. We lived in France for a few years so I can claim some experience with cheese and cheese shops and I can safely tell you that these guys know something about cheese. They have a good selection of French, Quebec and English cheeses. My advice, for the cheese shy, is to go there during the week and ask questions.

This was my first time visit to specialized 'cheese only' store. They have good collection. I hope they would provide a bit more information to 'overwhelmed' customer who are still learning ABC of Cheese.

If they can sell samples (not looking for freebies) that can help new people to try and buy cheese.

Looking forward to my next visit.

I really want to rate this 5 stars but the service I got was below par. Been there before and it was exceptional but I was unlucky. Not saying I'm an ideal customer, definitely more of a hassle since I forget the cheese names everyone.

I was there Wednesday, October 9th at 5:00pm. My initial request was for a truffle cheese that had a very garlicky taste, I had it before but couldn't recall the name. She suggested Canadian truffle cheeses but I strongly believed that it wasn't Canadian, I was probably wrong. I sampled one truffle cheese that wasn't Canadian, it wasn't it. I told her nevermind about that let's go to my second cheese I wanted a really creamy cheese. She was recommending some and after the second recommendation I said yes and I'll get 200g, cut in half. In the middle of wrapping another customer comes in and they greet each other. A reference to an order that was placed is mentored.
That is when she stopped helping me and went to grab the cheese cut it for the other customer and proceed to cash with her, as I waiting. During this incident I was asked if I wanted anything else and I said I'll grab the Canadian truffle cheese. Ideally, I would think finish with one customer before moving to another.
I wish it ends there. As she was cutting up the second cheese, total of 200 (100,50,50). Another customer walks in. They greet and she starts to ask initial questions if what they wanted. He mentions he doesn't know the name but knows it's creamy and she mentions the cheese I choose, which is normal. What is normal the fact she was cutting up a slice for him to try...I'm still there.
She actually said after the taste let me just run the cash for him, thankfully!

Also doesn't help sanitary wise that she would eat the cheese off the knife or spatula that was used to cut/sample the cheese.

I gave it 4/5 because the place is good and this one incident shouldn't hurt the store. I'll be back but hopefully it's a better experience, also I'll try to recall the names.

Cheese...all the cheese! And there was a very helpful young man there who knew his cheese. I was actually very impressed by the product he suggested for my wine and cheese party !
