(September 16, 2014, 4:56 pm)John and his professionals at Sandy Hill Construction have done a number of renovation projects on our house over the past two years. These have included creating a new tiled main floor entrance, installing new lighting in the living room, targeted stone foundation repairs, external brickwork (mostly repointing but also including rebuilding the chimney) and structural work in the basement. As the house dates back to ca. 1895, all of these required flexibility, careful craftsmanship and imagination to complete. In all instances Sandy Hill Construction came through with flying colours. All jobs were started and completed on time, the work and attitude was professional, clean-up was never an issue, and John involved us in the required decisions (and cost ramifications) every step of the way. As with most houses, and certainly vintage ones, we have future projects in mind for the guys from Sandy Hill Constructions. Perhaps most indicative of our satisfaction, we have recommended these professionals to our neighbour, with work beginning in a few days.
