We consider ourselves very lucky to have had our home built by the team at Hunt homes. We are beyond thrilled with the outcome.
To be clear, this is our 3rd build. The first was with a regular developer and the second with a very well known custom home builder. Both experiences were horrible. With all the hassles and stress that came with the first two, I swore we'd never build again.
This said we were looking to downsize and hopped in the car for a nice day of exploring.
From the minute we walked into the Hunt Homes model home and met with Fran, we could feel warm friendliness and see the fine details and great craftsmanship.
We actually got to meet Steve Hunt and we were blown away by his honesty and sincerity.
We signed on and the journey began.
Remember, this is our third build so we couldn't believe how skilled the tradespeople were that we met...and just how friendly they are!
Every aspect of the build of our new home was shared with us and we found any idea we had was welcomed. Often we had meeting of the minds and we'll never forget meeting with Rich, drywaller master supreme and Harold ( site supervisor for Hunt Homes; aka the Maestro because he makes things happen. Harold is incredible) and bam; we had the most awesome coffered ceiling we could have ever dreamed of!
Needless to say, our journey; and building a house in a new area really is a journey, was better than excellent.
Sure there are always hiccups. These however were either negligible or quickly fixed to perfection.
Steve was constantly out and about checking in to see how things were.
You'll dialogue with Steve's in house right hand person Darlene. She too is the consummate professional. She coordinates all the trades and any concerns you may have. We call her Merlin as she magically makes things happen seemingly with the snap of a finger.
It's been a year now and we just did our one year 'list'. It's the smallest we've ever experienced and the fixes were fast. You almost feel like Steve's team dropped everything to get your house to the finish line. What attention to customer service. Builders could learn a lot from Steve and his team.
Our advice: Get Hunt Homes to build your home. Or at least make the trip to visit and get a feel for the vibe they project.
We're new to the area. Steve and his team helped us build a house but made us feel like we were at home.
Would we build another home with Hunt Homes? Without a doubt.

Very early on, Steve and Darlene put us at ease with the level of care and attention provided through our communications.

Even though we had no familiarity with the process of having a home built, we felt informed and empowered during the entire process.

We built a custom home with Hunt Homes. Along the way we had a few unforeseen setbacks with our property but Hunt Homes was willing and eager to work with us to resolve the issues. Their expertise of building guided us through our building issues. Steve and Harold were very helpful and were always in touch with updates on the project. We were extremely happy with the end result. We would recommend Hunt Homes to anyone whom is constructing a house.

We moved into our Hunt Home about one year ago and could not be happier that we made the leap to use Hunt as our builder. Throughout the process we were able to select and customize the home to our liking. What's more, any issues that we have had during the initial walk throughs and after posession were promptly rectified. We love our home and the beautiful neighbours and neighbourhood around us.
